Humans: students' opinions on classes
In a school like ERHS (which is full of diversity), it’s hard to find something all students have in common. Each of us is unique, with different dreams, goals, and opinions. Of course, our differences don’t separate us, and there are things that we all share in common―at least, one thing. What is that? All of us have to go to school and sit through classes, whether it be AP classes, DP classes, or LACC. So what do students really think about classes? Is there a most importan

Fall on campus: an ERHS photo essay
This fall, I found everything in this school so beautiful, the green in the trees, the grass, the cold air, and especially the views farther out of view. Reflecting on those moments, it would be nice for the soft morning air to circulate back into this season, but I find it better to enjoy the place that I’m in now. Not because I will eventually be back to the cold fall air, but because I can learn to grow through these seasons. When you’re not in your best state, or going th

Dustbowl 2026!
Photos by Cadence Kang and Haobin Chen Friday night the junior and senior classes faced off in a game of flag football, and a cheer competition; a decades long tradition here at Eagle Rock! The game started out strong with the senior scoring a touchdown in the first couple minutes, but the juniors quickly caught up. By halftime they were tied at 14 points, and the players kept us on the edge of our seat until the last couple minutes. With just around 3 minutes left in fourth

Being the second largest city in the US, it’s not surprising that many residents own a car, with 80% of households in LA owning/having access to at least one vehicle. Though this helps with long distance travel and getting around the city, being car-centric has its cons, such as the high rate of pedestrian fatalities, some of which are caused by jaywalking.
