Sophie Seifert (she/her) is an up-and-coming 9th grader full of passion and creativity. She joined the Eagle’s Scream last year and has been a staff writer since, specializing in reporting hot news in music and entertainment. On campus, Sophie has participated in a number of clubs and extracurriculars, with her most recent achievement of starting up the Beyond Books club with Mrs. Ortiz. 

Her passion for music began with her family and listening to The Beatles’ classics such as Hey Jude and Yellow Submarine on long road trips. From there, she was exposed to various music genres and artists, most notably through her sister, Lula, and her dad. Some genres she listens to range from new pop to classic rock, with her all-time favorite artists being the Pixies. Not only does she listen to music, but she also plays music. Her main instrument is the piano, which she has been playing since she was 8 years old. 

In the future, Sophie imagines herself combining her love of reading and music into one through a career in music journalism, hopefully writing for the Pixies one day.
