How does Eagle Rock celebrate the holidays?

With a place as diverse and interesting as Eagle Rock, there's bound to be differences. One of which is how we celebrate the holidays! When I was talking to my friend, I realized that everyone celebrates differently; for instance, she eats grapes on New Years, and I eat oranges. Therefore leads me here, so I asked ERHS how they celebrate the holidays! Here's what they said:

“Only my parents and well, my brother, live in California. Most of my family lives in Illinois, so we go to Illinois. There, we celebrate Christmas a day before with my mothers side of the family and then Christmas day I spend it at my grandmother's retirement home with the other side of my family.”

“For Christmas I like to spend money during Black Friday. I like to help clean out during the holidays and help my family. I like to buy what my family asks for even if it's my cousin's ipad addiction. I like buying gifts even if it feeds into consumerism, it's the season of giving.”
