More than just a disc

Here at Eagle Rock, there is much more to explore than just academics. If you walk by the basketball courts during lunch, or pass by the grassy area that surrounds the tennis courts after school you might just catch a feel for a strong community. Luckily, you’ve found the Frisbee Club. At Frisbee Club, they make it so that you can forget about all your worries with just a throw of a disc. Frisbee Club offers competitive game play, such as ultimate frisbee, or a casual game of back and forth. Not to mention, you can create countless memories with fellow members. It isn’t just about a game, it’s about the collaboration and competitiveness that runs deeper amongst them. 

“Frisbeeing is such a simple activity, and everyone has it in them. No matter your skill or ability, everyone should be able to either try for the first time, or show off their skills. Frisbee club was made with the intentions of the community, and bonding over simple activities like frisbeeing. We’ve come to realize that for a large majority of students, they have an untapped potential at frisbeeing. That’s why we’ve decided to create the Frisbee Club, so no matter who you are or what you do you can just throw a frisbee around with a loving community. We value our community,  and we want it to grow and prosper with every member.”

The board members of the club are excited to create a welcoming community for anyone from 7th through 12th grade. They have been coming up with exciting activities and hope to share it with those who attend! Jane Croshaw, Treasurer of Frisbee club, mentions that

“frisbee club is a new club that is meant to improve your confidence in frisbee, make new friends, and build amazing experiences. We made it as a way for people to express their love for frisbee in a safe environment where no experience is needed… It is simply a space where stress can be relieved.” 

As Jane states, the vibes are truly infectious.
