About
Victor Pack (he/him) was born on a clear warm day in Pasadena at Huntington Hospital and has lived his whole life in Los Angeles, splitting time between Eagle Rock and Highland Park. Deeply connected to his roots, Victor’s heritage is a blend of Mexican, Cuban, Korean, and Polish backgrounds. Of these, his Mexican heritage most strongly shapes his traditions, family gatherings, and love of food. He also feels inspired by his Polish side, especially knowing that some of his relatives endured the Holocaust, a history that motivates him to live with compassion and resilience.
A traveler at heart, Victor has explored Hawaii, New York, London, Paris, and most recently, Belize. London stands out as a favorite, especially after witnessing the King’s Trooping of the Colour parade, while Belize gave him the opportunity to surround himself in nature.
Victor’s greatest passion is tennis. He competes on the ERHS tennis team, plays recreationally, and even participated as part of the ball crew at the prestigious Indian Wells Tournament, an experience that brought him close to his favorite player, Jannik Sinner. Wimbledon remains his dream tournament to attend one day.
Beyond tennis, Victor enjoys baking challenging treats like macarons & cookies, writing, and watching Grey’s Anatomy after a busy school day. He discovered his love for storytelling and leadership through journalism, which is currently his favorite class. Psychology is also a subject that deeply interests him, as he enjoys exploring the ways people think and behave.
Looking ahead, Victor hopes to attend a UC school, with UC Berkeley at the top of his list, and he plans to major in education or psychology. Dedicated, kind, and passionate, Victor gives his all to academics and dreams of becoming an inspiring teacher, living by the beach, and carrying forward his family’s tradition of hard work and generosity.
