Oona Warren (she/her) is a staff writer and freshman at Eagle Rock. For the first five years of her life, Oona lived in New York City where she first discovered her early passion for creative expression through movement. After moving to Los Angeles, Oona attended Eagle Rock Elementary, and in the first grade, began dancing in ballet. She continues to thrive in the performing arts and can be found at rehearsals and on the stage during her free time. 

Besides dance, Oona has also always believed in the power of language. At a young age, she recalls reading Harry Potter and Percy Jackson books, remaining an avid reader to this day of fantasy fiction and most recently, memoirs. Oona sees language as a means to escape into a world beyond our own and frequently enjoys journaling in the evenings as a hobby. Her artistic inclinations don’t end at language and dance; Oona is also a part of Eagle Rock band as a trumpet player and, during her free time, loves to paint watercolor paintings. 

In the coming future, Oona seeks to go to college to pursue either an english or psychology major, just two areas among her many vast interests yet to grow in the time between now and then. A standard day in Oona’s adult life would look something like going to coffee shops to write, book shops to read, and filling the time in between with dance rehearsals and classes.
