For each of the breakfast reviewed below, we will be scoring them out of ten. We will be scoring them based on our own opinions on how it was when we tried them. We hope you agree with our scores!

Coffee Cake (8/10)
A very popular item on the breakfast menu is the coffee cake. We enjoy this particular breakfast because for one person, we think it's a good amount. We did note that it has a spiced undertone to it that is not cinnamon. It almost tastes pumpkin-y? Although, after reading the recipe, we learned it has no pumpkin in it, but the spice nutmeg. So if you too thought you were tasting pumpkin, put your thoughts to rest, it’s just nutmeg. There’s a good amount, good texture, and the flavor is very nice.
Chocolate Chip Muffin (7/10)
Many people have mixed opinions on the school muffins. We’ve noted that the muffins can be filling depending on how hungry a person is, but two are the most sufficient at filling up one person’s stomach. The muffin is a pretty basic part of the Eagle Rock breakfast; they aren’t very unique, but they’ll be there on days you need it. I think it has a solid flavor, not too special. The chocolate chips are more flavorful than the bready part, but neither are that bold. Frankie O’Sullivan, a 9th grader says, "They're good but they serve it everyday so you get sick of it.” It is true, because the muffins are small, they often add them in with another breakfast, so after having them so many times they may get bored.

Cinnamon Roll (9/10)
A classic fan favorite; I mean, bread, cinnamon, sugar, and a frosting glaze, it’s hard to beat. Eleanor Cole-Calderon, a freshman, describes them as “a dessert for breakfast.” These have a hard texture on the outside, but they’re soft on the inside.
Jam Danish (5/10)
A recent addition to our school’s menu, and it remains a mystery whether these are flavored guava, strawberry, or cherry. The four different times I’ve had them this year have all left me with a slightly different experience. The first time, it was burnt and hard, and I told myself I’d never try it again. The second time I had them, as contradicting to my first experience as it could be, I really liked it. The third and fourth time were both remotely similar. They were both honestly sickening because of how dryly sweet they were. The bread was more like flour without any liquids, and the jam was way too sweet.
Pancake Spheres (8/10)
The pancake balls are a new addition to the school’s breakfast and were surprisingly decent. Their flavor was pretty neutral with a slight hint of sugar/syrup, since they are supposed to be pancake-like things and pancakes usually go with syrup. Their texture was somewhat cake-y, and was quite moist. I overheard people in my class talking about them in a positive light, and it made me very curious as to trying them. Overall, I had no issues with these, but they weren’t mind blowing either.
