About

Starting a memorable childhood at Ivanhoe Elementary, Jasper Mann (he/him) has always been passionate about two things. Theatre and art. He grew up with his closest companions: his cat, Sid (you should definitely ask him how he found him), and his dog, Roxy.

These days, you can find him behind the curtains as the assistant stage manager here at Eagle Rock, or with his sketchbook creating comics and zines. Jay has been part of the Eagle’s Scream ever since eighth grade. Though he was terrified initially, he’s flourished through the last three years writing articles, including “Himbos and why they matter”, “Why ‘Heathers’Works: Mean Girls violence, and the power of cliche”, and “A Love Letter to Disney Channel” just to name a few.

In the future, Jay plans to go into art (specifically claymation for kids' shows) and hopes to put some of his art on Eagle Scream this year. Even further into the future, you may come across Jay’s remains floating along the ocean during a typical Viking funeral.
