Simone Modina (she/her)  is not new to Eagle Rock, but is new to high school. She is kicking off her Freshman year as a new member of Journalism. In elementary school, she worked on her school's small paper and always loved to write. But what she loves more than writing is art. She developed a passion for digital art and photography along the way and now plans to follow her sister's footsteps into the ER Scream.

She has assorted hobbies that take her from the band room to the skate park to the dojo, where she practices Iaido. Alongside those, she loves to relax and listen to indie music. She loves all the classic indie artists like Mitski, Clairo, Arctic Monkeys, and Wallows. She hopes to find a comic club or maybe find one in the future.

Despite her creative inclinations, Simone has a serious side too. A cancer survivor, she faced a challenging diagnosis of leukemia in the 2nd grade. This experience has shaped her desire to pursue a career in the medical field, expressing interest in nursing with a potential focus on pediatrics or becoming a travel nurse.
