Ivy Klein (she/her) was born in Burbank and has lived in California her entire life.

She started at ERHS in 7th grade and after joining journalism in her freshman year, Ivy has gotten further into her passion for writing, having written many articles for the Eagle’s Scream sharing her love of reading and literature.

Currently a 10th grader, Ivy is working on writing and editing a book that she hopes to get published someday. Building off of her love for literature, she is also involved in the theater community and has a fondness for anything Moulin Rouge!. Today, Ivy lives in Silverlake with her mom and her six pets: four cats and two dogs. In journalism, Ivy wants to work towards inspiring new writers and encouraging those who want to start.

If she could spend her days anywhere, Ivy would choose to settle herself in the faraway galaxy of the Star Wars universe, but she’s settled for Columbia University. In the future she wants to go far with her writing career, looking to Stephen King for inspiration. Ivy wants to make progress in journalism and she hopes that her writing will spark something in others.
