Avni Koppula (she/her) was born in San Francisco but is a self proclaimed ‘Eagle Rocker’ who grew up in Eagle Rock and joined journalism in the 8th grade. She is now in 11th grade and is the publicity for journalism and on the school drill team. 

Avni has been dancing since she was little, and it is one of her main passions, but her hobbies aren't exclusive to dance. In her free time, she loves to write, whether it' for The Eagle’s Scream or as a personal pastime. Additionally, she learns Hindi and reads books, her favorite genre being mystery. Avni claims she is a very savory person, enjoying many savory foods, and if she had to pick her last meal, it would involve any kind of noodles, matcha, creme brulee, or potato chips. 

If she didn’t have to worry about money, Avni’s dream job would be a career as a professional dancer, although she’s not 100% sure where she wants to go or what she wants to do yet. As far as college is concerned, when she was younger, she wanted to go to NYU, but now any UC is her future dream. A long term goal for her is to publish some of her writing in any professional form, whether that means in a magazine or newspaper; she wants to (and will) make it happen.
