Girls lacrosse kicks off their inaugural season

Eagle Rock Girl’s Lacrosse team kicks off their first season this Wednesday February 18th at Westridge High School @ 3:30! At the beginning of the year both Coach Christina, Coach Ben, and Coach Heather worked to get the program started, it wasn’t a linear process. Getting girls who wanted to participate was an initial hurdle, but they were amazed by the response they received from the Eagle Rock community. Through the past few months the girls have gone from a majority never picking up a ball before, to being a real functioning team. Coach Heather explained to me that despite the season just beginning there’s a sense of incredible pride in what the team’s already accomplished. This season they have 10 games lined up and over 25 girls playing, a testament to the hard work and dedication to getting the young program started. Come out and support the girls as they embark on their inaugural season!!
