This Halloween, I was running my errands during Journalism’s 8th period. Yet, I was stopped in my tracks by some staff inviting me to go inside room 210. Beyond its usually closed door was a dark void and succumbing to my intrigue, I went inside.
The room was turned into a haunted hallway: creepy music played, and its ambiance was completed with orange jack-o-lantern lights. Students in Mr. McLaughlin’s class were enchanting me along this wicked pathway, showing me brains for sale and a box full of worms (I’m embarrassed to admit that I was too queasy to stick my hand inside). At the end of the tour, I was greeted with a bowl of Frootsie (a fruity Tootsie roll!), congratulating me on making it through this spooky attraction.
Many kids attended to this delightful pop-up throughout the period. I hope that this haunted house becomes a welcomed tradition on our Eagle Rock campus!
