“We’re family at the end of the day, we treat each other as brothers,” says team captain Romeo Portillo. On Saturday, February 25th, the boys' varsity soccer team won the CIF Championship against Wilson High School for the first time in school history. Having won their playoff games against Verdugo Hills, Manual Arts, and Triumph Charter earlier this month, the Eagles continued their undefeated season into the championships. When asked about the games ahead, Cooper Darling commented, “We’re definitely going to have tough games ahead of us but we showed [up] in playoffs, so we can show up in those types of games”. The team will continue their journey on the 28th, playing Little Rock High School. Congratulations to the team, and we wish them luck at their next game!
