CPP's Haunted Harvest Festival recap

This Thursday, our school was treated to a night of fun, food, and festivities at the first-ever Haunted Harvest Festival, hosted by the Community Partnership Project. Set up in the quad, 15 booths sold snacks and played games. Robotics Club showed off their robot that launches rubber balls into the air, Animation Club drew caricatures, and SOCO set up a “What’s in the Box”. There were musical performances from Donovan Bravo and Thermal Construct, also in the quad. Outside of Mr. Walters’ room, a line formed for the Haunted House, which proved to be scary and surprising at every turn. The crowd was mainly a mix of high schoolers, elementary schoolers, and parents.
According to Evan Fox and Sam Sealy, the coordinators of the event, the event came to fruition after many sleepless nights, emails, and lots of planning. Ultimately, all of their hard work paid off, and they were able to use the event to raise money for the community and increase school engagement. Their club, CPP, has only been around for a couple of months and has already put together the first event of its kind at our school with success. We’ll certainly be watching for what the club does next.
