Coffee review #2: “And Destroy Coffee”

There are multiple coffee shops that are in and around Eagle Rock. “And Destroy Coffee” is a new coffee shop that has been open for less than a year. In that time, it has shown that it is an amazing place to hang out with friends, family, the community, and get a coffee. “And Destroy Coffee,” has been open, serving coffee, pastries, and hosting events at their location constantly. Here’s an overview of what they serve, the events they do, and how the environment is.

Drinks and Food

“And Destroy” sells multiple drinks and baked goods for you to buy. The iced latte that they serve is great. It’s not very bitter or flavorless when you get your first sip, but when you add one or two packs of sugar slips that they offer, the coffee is more delicious. They don't only sell coffee, they also sell teas and special drinks. On their socials, they make posts of limited edition unique drinks. One example is “Ryan's Chocolate Orange.” “And Destroy Coffee” gets their baked goods at “Cafe Tropical,” and they are good as well. They have multiple options to eat while doing work, in a campaign, or if you're just relaxing. From the soft and crunchy croissants, the flavorful and sweet passion fruit donuts, the soft and flavor-packed blueberry muffins, to the coffee cakes and more.

Events

On their socials and website, they post about the events that they host during the month. Some examples are Dungeons and Dragons campaigns, Magic: The Gathering tournaments, and board game meetups. If you are interested but don't have any of the things you need to play, don't worry since at “And Destroy Coffee,” they have a wall dedicated to dice sets, cards, board games, campaigns, candles, thermals, and coffee machines. Also if you are interested and have the things, but don’t know how to play, they also host events to teach you about the game and how to play. Want peace or quiet to study or relax? They also host lo-fi nights, and 0db happy reading hour so you can have peace and quiet.

Environment

The environment is amazing. Even with a photo, it is better to be there in person. When entering, it looks basic, but if you pay attention to the building closely, you can notice how great “And Destroy Coffee” is. One side has the name of the place on a wooden wall with the lights connected in the wall, and the other side has a marble wall. They have custom tables welded together and have great lighting that comes from the sun. It isn’t only the building, it is also the employees that are kind and who are respectful to everyone no matter what. They don't mind answering questions that people have, helping people when they need help, or socializing with people, not only as customers, but as long time friends. Finally, it’s an amazing place to hang out with friends and family since you can hang out and relax with them, or go to play a DND campaign, MTG battles, and other board and card games.

From the events that they hold for new and old players who are interested in table top rpg, and board/card games, to people who want a cozy environment to do work, socialize, and hang out with friends and family.
