Eva Jones (she/her) is a 9th grader and a staff writer for Eagle’s Scream. She was raised in the lively neighborhood of Mount Washington. As a young child, Eva was not like the other unmotivated children her age—she was ambitious! Shooting high and dreaming of career paths as an astronaut or even the President of the United States. Some of her fondest memories involve her sister, whom she admires immensely, coming home from elementary school and sharing all the fascinating topics she had learned that day. This sparked Eva's curiosity and helped her become a proficient reader at a very young age. To this day, Eva remains captivated by the vast world of literature. Her favorite books include The Virgin Suicides, Fight Club, Slaughterhouse-Five, and The Catcher in the Rye.

She also takes pleasure in learning musical instruments, drawing inspiration from some of her favorite bands: Joy Division, New Order, The yeah yeah yeahs, and the breeders. Eva doesn't just enjoy the arts though! She is very athletic and enjoys playing tennis and softball. Currently, she spends her afternoons hanging out with friends but these pleasures a wayward distraction in the face of her true goals, she hopes to attend college in New York City and pursue a career in journalism. After establishing herself as a journalist, Eva dreams of moving to Italy, buying a 1-euro house, and living a peaceful life writing a novel inspired by her life experiences and caring for her clowder of pussy cats.
