Get ready for the Battle of the Bands!

You’ve probably seen posters around school advertising this mysterious “Battle of the Bands”. But what’s it all about? Traditionally, a few bands would get together at or outside of school to play music for a panel of judges that decide who won. Here at ERHS, we follow this tradition. On April 25, 2025, get ready for this fun school event.

Eldie Hemingway was the beginning of the Battle of the Bands at Eagle Rock. For his personal project in tenth grade, Eldie organized a battle of the bands charity event. He put together ten bands and had them perform, raising over 500 pounds of food to donate. Ms. Cisneros heard of Eldie’s project and ran with the idea, creating this fun night for our school. She is excited to put on this production and hopes to bring fun to the students with a night of free music and entertainment.

The show will consist of 5 bands: Sincere, Jack Twist Jump, Super Sigma Rangers, Donovan & James, Johnny Serafini, and That One Band. Additionally, the event will be hosted by none other than Ms. Kissam. This will be a contest, so Ms. Malec, Ms. Clark, Ms. Alpuerto, Ms. Ramirez, Ms. Han-Yun, and Mr. Flatley will be the judges.

The ERHS Battle of the Bands is going to be a great place to experience a free, fun school event, so make sure to be there. Unfortunately, it is too late to join the competition now, but you can still enjoy the show. The more people that show up, the more encouraging the atmosphere will be for the performers, so show some spirit and support your fellow Eagles. We’re expecting an amazing night, so get excited!
