Fast & Furious Review

Universal Studio’s Fast & Furious ride officially opened on September 16th, 2026, after years of waiting. Every time I went to the park (usually once or twice a year), I noticed minor additions to the giant pillars where the new roller coaster resides. On the Friday before Labor Day weekend, my family decided to make the occasional Universal Studios trip. Knowing that the park occasionally allows park goers to go on it for demo testing, I asked the front staff that morning and was told the ride was expected to be closed the whole day. Later in the day, as we were passing by, a deafening scream erupted from the crowd and a downpour of people began making their way towards the entrance. “No running!” was heard from the staff as this legendary rollercoaster opened temporarily for the public to experience.

Overall, is this the scariest ride I’ve been on? No. Could the seats have been more comfortable? Definitely. But was it exhilarating? It’s safe to say, yes. It cleared my expectations by a million miles. I’d definitely go again (if the wait time wasn’t so long!), but after we got off, every single ride had a minuscule wait time afterwards because the entire population of the park was crammed into the 100-minute Fast & Furious line.
