If Nyda Hosack (she/her) could be anywhere right now it’d be shoreside at the beach. However, most of the time she’s here at Eagle Rock Jr/Sr High School as a freshman and one of the newest members of the Eagle’s Scream. Nyda has lived in Eagle Rock for over ten years attending Eagle Rock Elementary for most of fifth into sixth grade and starting ERHS in seventh grade. 

Along with spending time at the beach, her favorite pastime, Nyda enjoys oil painting, learning ASL, practicing karate, and capturing candid moments with a camera. Currently, she appreciates finding the beauty of the forgotten, snapshotting left-behind items such as old toy trucks. Unsurprisingly, along with journalistic writing, Nyda will join the Eagle’s Scream brilliant team of photographers. 

Nyda’s plans for the future culminate in upholding the necessary archetype of the scary old woman on the block and a not-so-quiet life of piracy (the fake kind you read in children’s books) living along the Greek shores.
