Journalist Meron Worku (she/her) has always had a drive for writing. She was born in Ethiopia and moved to Highland Park, where she found her love for writing as well as swimming and playing the bass. However, Meron didn't always want to be a writer; when she was young, she had dreams of becoming a bus driver. Though she still respects the art of bus driving, she wants to become a foreign correspondent- which led her to journalism.

Meron is 16 years old and in the 11th grade here at Eagle Rock High School. She is on the swim team and, in her spare time, loves listening to music such as RnB and Rap. Her favourite artists include Lauryn Hill and Kendrick Lamar. Her favourite movie is The Graduate as it is a lot of different genres combined. When she becomes a graduate, she wishes to go to a college on the East Coast.
