Freedom is an important aspect of life to Lucia Allen Cannone (she/her). Lucia is a junior year staff writer on the Eagle’s Scream, and has been in Journalism since the 9th grade. She has one Siberian cat named Toady, and previously owned a dog. She has lived in Eagle Rock for most of her life, and she went to Eagle Rock for Elementary. She vividly remembers her 4th/5th grade teacher, Mr. Franke, who sparked her love for literature. Although Lucia has lived in the small town of Eagle Rock since the age of eight, she loves trips to Boston, Italy, and Chicago. When Lucia is older, she wants to be in the literature world, possibly editing, writing, or being part of a newspaper, something like The Eagle’s Scream.

Speaking of literature, her favorite book is “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” by Holly Jackson. But when she was younger, her favorite book series was “Percy Jackson" by Rick Riordan. “You don’t have to be friends, you just have to be friendly,” says Lucia. Although her mom told her this quote when she was little, she still remembers it, and it has shaped her into the person she is today.
