About
Jubilee Nuno (she/her) was born here in California, and has since lived in New York, North Carolina, and France. After moving back to California (although it’s her first time living in LA) from New York, she talks about the biggest difference: “New York is very institutionalized (but also fun) [...]. California you have more freedom to just like be you who are [...] and figure yourself out.”
Journalism is something she’s been interested in for some time. She tried to start one at her previous school in New York, which unfortunately didn’t really go anywhere. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, doing crossword puzzles, and traveling; she currently wants to travel somewhere in the Middle East–maybe Israel, or anywhere else with a deep history.
This is her last year in high school (as long as things go according to plan), and although she isn’t quite sure where she wants to go to college, she has a few ideas of possible things to study: “I’ve been interested in political and governmental issues, and then I also like writing and reading. But I also think doing some sort of like music or art based thing would also be cool.”
