Irene Maddox (she/her) is a lively, energetic student in the 10th grade. She brightens up the classroom, radiating kind and silly energy wherever she goes. In fact, her parents saw this in her starting from a young age. They wanted to help her find a way to release all this energy, so she started figure skating at the age of 3, fell in love with the sport, and has been on the rink ever since! On top of her extracurricular activities, Irene has big plans to follow her dreams in the future, such as continuing to write in and outside school, drafting scripts, and even making a film of her own some day! She finds joy in many things such as the color blue, the beach, and spending time with her friends. Currently, she plays an important role in our journalism family as a creative and talented writer and there’s no doubt she will continue to express her talent in college, her career, and beyond! As her final message to the world, she wants to remind everyone to be a good friend.
