About

Geena San Diego (she/they) was born on November 20, 2005, in Arcadia, California. She grew up in Las Vegas and attended elementary school there until the second grade when she returned to California. As a youngster, Geena was enrolled in a variety of extracurricular activities, including a basketball league, a soccer league, ballet and even piano. But, her favorite activity—and the one that helped shape her into the creative she is today—was an art class. Although she proclaims to be “white-washed,” Geena speaks Tagalog and maintains a connection to Filipino culture through its food.

Today, Geena has two dogs named Bowie and Zeppelin and is a junior at ERHS. Participating in the school’s symphonic band, directing art for the Eagle’s Scream, and cooking pasta and sandwiches for her local soup kitchen are some of the many activities she currently engages in.

In the future, Geena plans to go to one of the UCs to major in marine biology or psychology to become a clinical psychologist while balancing her own business. After having to bear with Los Angeles’s unpredictable weather for the majority of her life, she imagines herself having a pet amphibian, in a chilly home, north of California.
