About
Elise Bolaños (she/her) is an aspiring lawyer and professional soccer player. She is also one of the newest staff writers for the Eagle’s Scream. One of her fondest childhood memories is catching a hawk with her dad (who had just gotten his hawking license). Now a high school sophomore, Elise has some advice for incoming ninth-graders: “Don’t procrastinate,” she says, recommending that students finish their homework the day it’s assigned, “it’s so much easier that way.”
Elise has a dog named Hunter and could eat pizza every day as it’s her favorite food. If she were a color, she would be sage green, because it’s calming and reminds her of nature. As a child, Elise’s parents enrolled her in many sports, and soccer came naturally to her – she’s enjoyed it ever since. In July, she was invited to the National Talent ID event for soccer and hopes to play professionally after college. Elise also plans on earning a law degree, though if she could have any job, she’d want to watch and rate movies for Netflix. After her death, Elise will likely donate her organs, but she’s still thinking about it.
