Briana Garcia — From a Small Stage to Behind the Screen

From taking on theater to fighting for social justice (and almost everything in between), Briana Garcia's bounced all over the place. Despite all she's ever done, Briana yearned to do more. Lost in what more she could possibly do, Briana found herself being recruited into the Eagle's Scream for writing. Although there was a lack of self certainty within her skills, being a part of the publication's staff has helped her grow in more ways than one.

Now entering her second year at the Eagle’s Scream, Briana’s managed to find more confidence in herself, as well as her crafts. Finding more solace in her writing and recently in photography, Briana finds that she's loved being able to explore perspectives through a refreshing photograph. She particularly enjoys the aspect of storytelling her photos and words can tell, especially on any random topic she's been provided with.

While Briana’s passion lies primarily with photography and enjoys the possibility of pursuing it as a career path in the future, she also has an appreciation for poetry. This year, she has hopes of her poetry (or anyone else's) making it into the paper and being able to spread some love for the underrated art form.
