10th grader Abel Smith (he/him), is an artist through and through. As he grew up in Highland Park, Abel could always be found exercising his creativity; whether it be writing, directing and producing films, drawing or playing any of the multiple instruments he’s learned. He plans to stay loyal to these passions for the foreseeable future as he intends to pursue film or become a self isolated woods-man. This love to create is apparent all throughout his household as well, with his mom being a fashion designer and his dad being an artist it’d be hard to not be this talented in the arts department. 

At the Rock, Abe is excited to  be running his first marathon with Students Run LA, participate in Future Farmers of America, and plans to start a DND club alongside his friends. During his first year at the Scream, Abel intends to improve his writing skills and is excited to address school news, and explore photography and art for the paper as well. This journalist is bound to serve as a true voice for the students as he lives by “a curiosity to discover how the world works and a desire to educate himself beyond what the school system typically teaches.”
