Growing up, Aubrey Arias (she/her) loved singing, drawing, and performing gymnastics. Although she still enjoys singing and drawing, she has sadly outgrown gymnastics. She now enjoys painting in Ms. Maddox’s class and learning about science. Her go-to after-school activities include hanging out with friends and playing with her golden retriever, Max. Recently, Aubrey has taken up a new ambition at Eagle Rock High School: journalism. Inspired by friends who were working on last year’s paper, Aubrey’s responsibilities in journalism are now publicity and photography, where she is excited to showcase her artsy side. Aubrey enjoys food from places like Town Pizza (R.I.P), In N Out, Dave’s Hot Chicken, and Chipotle. She also loves shopping at stores such as Target, Brandy Melville, and Pacsun. As a senior, these days Aubrey has been focusing more on the future. Her  dream for next year is to attend Pepperdine University, though she would also be interested in going to a University of California college like UC Santa Barbara. She hopes to study law or pre-med in the future, but for now is enjoying her senior year at Eagle Rock by participating in new activities and spending time with friends. She is very excited to be a part of ERHS Journalism and can’t wait to see what this year holds!
