About

Cadence Kang (she/her) is an up-and coming 8th grader and future doctor. When she was younger, if she wasn’t playing dress-up, she was at her house, hanging out with her family. Her early interest in fashion made her want to be a fashion designer, however switched paths to becoming a doctor. Cadence remembers moving to a new school in 4th grade, and feeling a completely different viewpoint on her school, academics in general, and future. She’s experienced a couple bumps in the road in her life, however has learned to not get used to success, and move on to the next part of her life.

Nowadays, Cadence loves to climb, and is on the competition team at her gym. She loves hanging out with friends whenever she can, and hanging out at home. This is Cadence’s first year in Journalism, and she joined because of a love of writing. Journalism and the climbing competition team are just a few of Cadence’s many accomplishments and hobbies. As far as looking to the future, Cadence would love to be a doctor, specifically a pediatrician. She loves the doctors in her life and the safety and comfort of her clinic, and would love to do high-profile surgeries when she’s older. If she could have any regular pet in the world, she’d have a black cat, but if the possibilities were endless, she’d have a cheetah because she loves how fun they are. Other than a doctor, if Cadence could be any journalist, she’d be a photo journalist, because she loves taking pictures with her digital camera.

I ranked ten of the most popular spots, so you know where to go next time you're out! Every place I ranked with the same criteria, which included: average price, taste, seating, wait time, how busy it is, and distance from our school. Since this criteria wasn’t based solely on taste the rankings might surprise you. ...

Dustbowl 2026!
Photos by Cadence Kang and Haobin Chen Friday night the junior and senior classes faced off in a game of flag football, and a cheer competition; a decades long tradition here at Eagle Rock! The game started out strong with the senior scoring a touchdown in the first couple minutes, but the juniors quickly caught up. By halftime they were tied at 14 points, and the players kept us on the edge of our seat until the last couple minutes. With just around 3 minutes left in fourth quarter the...
